DUPUIS, André

January 18, 2013

DUPUIS, André Joseph - It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved André Joseph Dupuis “Andy“ on Thursday, January 10th, 2013 at Health Science North. Best friend, soul-mate and husband to the love of his life for 42 years, Teri Dupuis (née Fallu). Predeceased by his parents Albert and Florence Dupuis (née Bedard) and his father and mother-in-law, Albert and Veronica Fallu (née Carriere). Proud and loving father and father-in-law to Steven and Jo-Anne Dupuis (née Gignac), of Sudbury, and to Mark Dupuis and Geraldine Vincent of Montreal. Adored and cherished 'Papa' to Wesley and Sydney Dupuis. Dearest baby brother to Armand and Yolande (née Roy) Dupuis of Quebec, Fernand and Theresa Dupuis (née Gaudet) of Quebec, Raymond and Agathe Dupuis (née Labelle) of Ottawa and Claude Dupuis of Edmonton. Loving brother-in-law to Eugene and Rita Fallu (née Villeneuve), Theodore (Teddy) Fallu (predeceased) and Jim and Lynda Allsop (née Fallu) all of Sudbury. Andy is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Andy was born on August 3, 1950 in Sudbury, Ontario. Dad was a modest, compassionate, welcoming, caring and selfless person who was always thinking of and helping other people. He lived his life to the fullest and felt truly blessed for all of the wonderful memories he made as he spent time with his family and friends while he was either fishing, hunting, camping or travelling to Venezuela, Texas, Florida and Manitoulin Island. He had a wonderful sense of humour and was known for his hilarious pranks. He was also a dedicated music lover and musician and back in the day, no one could belt out House of The Rising Sun, Hey Bo Diddley or Quand le soleil dit bonjour aux Montagnes, like he could! Later in life he became an excellent cook and made the best spaghetti sauce in the whole world. Andy was extremely proud of his son's and daughter-in-law's accomplishments in their lives but most of all gleamed with joy at Wesley's gymnastic competitions and at Sydney's acting and singing events. He was also a hard worker for the Region of Sudbury for many years and later retired, in 2003, from the City of Greater Sudbury. He was well respected by all his colleagues. Special thanks to the Doctors and Nurses and other staff at HSN, 6th Floor Respiratory Unit. Your compassion and kindness towards Andy will never be forgotten. His memory will be loved and cherished and remain in our hearts forever. Peace be with you, Dad. Your smile and hugs will be missed dearly xo. Memorial Service in the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, 252 Regent St. at Hazel St., Sudbury, Sunday, January 20th, 2013, at 11am. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Donations to the ALS Society (Sudbury branch) would be appreciated. Friends may call 2-5; 7-9pm Saturday and after 10am Sunday.
