DUROCHER, Betty - September 4th, 1942 to January 31st, 2012. We are deeply saddened to announce that Betty Durocher passed away on January 31, 2012 at Shuswap Lake General Hospital from complications after a stroke. Born and raised in Sudbury, Betty is survived by her husband of 49 years, Rolland, their children: Carol-Ann (David), Gordon (Jan) and Nancy (Steve) and their grandchildren: Dawn, Randy, Alexandra and Isaac. Left to grieve is her large and extended family; especially her brother Ken (Helen), brother-in-law Norman (Mary), much loved aunt Hazel (Fred predeceased) and her favourite uncle Leo (Margaret). She was predeceased by her parents: Aimo and Karin Makela. Please join us for a Celebration of Life on Saturday, April 28th, 2012 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 705 Cherry Avenue, Sicamous, B.C. VOE 2V0 at 1:30 p.m. There will be a reception to follow service.
