It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a beloved soul, Bernie Eaton, who died in her 90th year at Finlandia Nursing Home on February 1, 2024
She is survived by her loving husband Harvey Eaton and her children; Kevin (Kim), Bruce (Lynsay), Nancy Jacques (Steve) and Mary-Lynn Siren (Scott), her grandchildren; Jill (Lucy), Nikki (Ryan), Alex (Jacob), Gennie (Ben), Cameron (Monica), Nick (Emma), Brodie (Ashley) and Graeme and great grandchildren Naya and Noah. Dear daughter of William and Florence (Daley) Hickey, dear sister of Gervase, Father James Hickey, Ignatius “Pug” (Reta), Joe (Audrey), Clement “Gabby” and Anastasia all predeceased.
Bernie and Harvey enjoyed many years together with their family. She loved her work as a nurse at both the General Hospital and Pioneer Manor. More than her work, she loved her family and friends with whom she shared her great sense of humour and laughter. Special thank you to the staff at Finlandia Nursing Home for their care, patience, and kindness. In lieu of flowers, donations to Finlandia SISU Foundation or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
Visitation at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch St., (Friends may call after 10am Friday). Memorial Service in the R. J. Barnard Chapel on Friday, February 9, 2024, at 11am. Cremation with interment in the family plot at the Sudbury Catholic Cemetery.
