ELASCHUK, Mary (nee Brandow) - In Loving Memory of Mary (nee Brandow) Elaschuk, 70 years, Tuesday, January 17th, 2012 at Health Sciences North. Wife of Matt Elaschuk predeceased 2005. Cherished mother of Elizabeth Ure (husband Chris), Metro Elaschuk (wife Karen) and Christine Gauthier (husband Ken). Loving Grandma of Samantha, Stephanie, Glen, Mathew and predeceased by Paul. Dear sister of Herman, Melvin, Robert, Evelyn, Alice and predeceased by Pearl and Leland. Born and raised on Manitoulin Island, Mary moved to Sudbury as a young woman. She had been a faithful and committed volunteer with Canadian Mental Health Association. She enjoyed crocheting, crafts, baking and music. She loved life and lived it to the fullest. Mary will be remembered as a very generous person who had a wonderful sense of humour. The priority of her life was her family. The light of her life will be cherished by all who knew and loved her. Funeral Service in the R. J. Barnard Chapel, JACKSON & BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury, Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 1 p.m. Cremation with interment in the family plot at the Civic Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association or Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated. Friends may call 3-5; 7-9 p.m. Friday and after 12 noon Saturday.
