ELLERO, Velia (Bortoluzzi) - In loving memory of Velia (Bortoluzzi) Ellero, 78 years, Sunday, May 19th, 2013 at the Pioneer Manor. Beloved wife of Alceo “Al“ Ellero predeceased 2006. Loving mother of Emanuela (Gerry McPhail) and Ivano. Dear daughter of Pietro and Ida Bortoluzzi both predeceased. Dear sister of Primo, Francesco “Nino“ and Nelda Battigelli all predeceased. Special Zia to Nic Battigelli (Rosanna), Marino Battigelli (Linda), Frank Battigelli predeceased and great aunt to Nathan and Natasha. Born in San Daniele, Friuli, Italy, she married Alceo in 1956. She was a skilled and talented seamstress for many years. Velia was a member of the Caruso Club choir. She devoted her life to her family, a strong woman with a strong faith. Funeral Service in the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, 252 Regent St. at Hazel St. Tuesday, May 21st, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Donations to the Parkinson Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. (Friends may gather after 10:30 a.m. Tuesday).
