FALCIONI, Lorna

January 29, 2013 74

FALCIONI, Lorna Rose Virginia - It is with great sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Lorna Rose Virginia Falcioni, at the age of 74, on January 27th, 2013 in the ICU of Health Sciences North with family at her side. As was her nature, she fought hard and courageously until the end. Lorna was the second child of Gino and Elsa Falcioni (both predeceased) and was sister to Ronnie Falcioni (predeceased), Richard (predeceased) and Diane Falcioni-Ricci, and Ronald and Dianne Falcioni. She will be sadly and deeply missed by her nieces and nephews Nathan and Cristina Falcioni, Matthew and Helen Falcioni, Steven and Kristi Falcioni and Anthony and Valerie Falcioni, and by her great-nieces and nephews Gabriella, Amelia, Evan and Ayva. She was loved by all of them as if she were a grandmother/great grandmother. Special niece to Delma Brown. Lorna was proud and happy to call Copper Cliff her home, where she was a life-long resident and active and well-known member of her community. She was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church and when her health allowed it would volunteer in the parish, helping in whatever way she could. She was also a devoted member of the CWL. Lorna loved visiting with family and friends, and wouldn't hesitate to bring an authentic Italian dish to dinner. She shared her passion for food with the Italian Club in Copper Cliff where she spent many a day with her fellow volunteers cooking the Italian food that was enjoyed by many. She sat as an executive for the Women's Auxiliary for the club. The family wishes to thank the staff and doctors of the ICU for their assistance and care during this “sweet lady's“ time with them over the past two months. Resting at the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME 233 Larch St., Sudbury. (Friends may call 2-9pm Wednesday with parish prayers at 4pm). Funeral Mass in St. Stanislaus Church, Copper Cliff Thursday, January 31st, 2013 at 10am. Cremation with interment in the family plot at St. Stanislaus Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kidney Foundation, Canadian Diabetes Association, or St. Stanislaus Church would be appreciated.
