FAVARO, Gianfranco - Passed away peacefully Sunday, February 12th, 2012 at the Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga, Ontario at the age of 67 years. He had his loving wife, Manuela (Sartori) Favaro by his side. Loving father of Giovanni (Rosetta), Michela (Bryan Philpott) and Frank (Vanda) and adored Nonno of Joshua and Michael. Predeceased by his father, mother and step-father. He will be sadly missed by his brother, Uncle and Aunt, his mother-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Born in Italy on September 22, 1944. He moved to Canada in 1967. He enjoyed his work at the same company for 44 years. Gianfranco was one of Jehovah's Witnesses. The family wishes to sincerely thank the doctor and nursing staff at the Credit Valley Oncology Palliative Patient Care Unit in Mississauga, Ontario for their exceptional care of Gianfranco. Resting at the Scott Funeral Home, 420 Dundas Street East in Mississauga, Ontario. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 14th, 2012 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm and a Memorial Talk will be delivered on Wednesday, February 15th, 2012 at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests that donations be made in his memory to the Worldwide Work of Jehovah's Witnesses, the Northeastern Ontario Regional Cancer Centre in Sudbury, Ontario or to the Carlo Fidani Peel Regional Cancer Centre in Credit Valley Hospital, Mississauga, Ontario.
