A Celebration of Life will be held to share stories and memories of Pauline Fawcett-Poitras, who is deeply loved and missed, on Saturday, June 24th at Trinity United Church, 72 Young St., Capreol. Visitation is at 10:30 am, followed by a service at 11:30 am. Reception to follow in the Fellowship Hall.

Pauline Germaine Fawcett-Poitras, born April 7, 1960 regrettably left us far too soon and very unexpectedly this past Saturday, May 13th, 2023.
She was the beloved mother of Cynthia Fawcett, Adele Fawcett, Cherie Fawcett (Duane Frey), Owen Fawcett (John Mumford), and Drew Poitras. Best friend and Mémère to Hunter and Duncan Thornton and Hazel, River and Rowan Frey. Predeceased by her parents Aline and Leopold Poitras. Loving sister to Flora Kujanen (Ari), Noel Poitras, Bernadette St. Germain (Patrick), Jacqueline Renaud (Don) and Richard Poitras (Lucie). Fondly remembered by Ken Fawcett and Marie Thompson. Loving matante to so many nieces and nephews and cherished friend to many.
Pauline was a social butterfly with a heart of gold and a most genuine and caring spirit. She could bring you to tears with her singing, dance up a storm at weddings, and she had a smile that lit up the room like the ray of sunshine she always was. She was also fiercely proud and protective of the people she loved. She was a warrior, a healer, a nurturer and a teacher. Family and community are strong values she has always held very dear and this is reflected in the many people who will carry on with countless fond memories of Pauline. Her legacy lives on in the love she shared with every single person whose life she touched.
