FERGUS, Allan Eric - Allan's family is sad to announce that he passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at the Tendercare Nursing Home in Sault Ste. Marie. Allan was born in Calgary on May 17, 1943, the first child of the of late Rauha Helen and Eric Fergus. Allan served in the Canadian Armed Forces, and later worked as an electrician at Falconbridge Nickel. As a young man he enjoyed scuba diving and photography. His greatest joy was visiting family members, and he dearly loved each one. He had a strong and simple faith, and when he was able, he did his best to help others. Allan is predeceased by his parents, nephew Brent, niece Anita, brother-in-law Frank Dawson and many beloved aunts, uncles and relatives. He is survived by sister Linda Dawson (Gerry Fontaine) of Hanmer, Ontario, Joyce Fergus-Moore (Peter) of Thunder Bay, brother Richard Fergus (Cynthia) of Sault Ste. Marie and nieces Jennifer Fergus (Daniel) of Toronto, Nicole Fergus (Andrew) of Regina, Saskatchewan, Kristen Fergus of Sault Ste. Marie and Emma Fergus-Moore of Thunder Bay. The family is very grateful to the kind staff of Tendercare Nursing Home for their excellent care of Allan during the past several years. Following cremation, a graveside service will be held at a later date in Sudbury, Ontario where Allan lived for many years. Allan will be missed, and ever remembered with love.
