Ferguson, Dorothy

FERGUSON, Dorothy May - A long-time resident of Sudbury, died Sunday May 2nd at Extendicare Falconbridge. Born in 1914, Dorothy was married to Carlton (predeceased in 1989), and is survived by sons Donald (wife Donelda), Dennis (wife Gloria), David (wife Ana Cristina), and daughter Margaret Gail Laurin (companion Phillip Bastien). She leaves five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Before her lengthy illness, Dorothy was active in many community organizations. She was a faithful member of St. Paul's United Church since 1949, one of the founders of the Sudbury Weavers and Spinners Guild, and a volunteer at Science North. A memorial gathering will be held at St. Paul's United Church, Regent St. S, Sudbury, on Tuesday May 11 at 4 p.m. The family thanks the staff at Extendicare Falconbridge for years of excellent care.
