FEX, Ronald Marcel - 1940 - 2010 - We announce with deep regret the death of our beloved husband, father and brother, Ronald Fex, on August 25, 2010, age 70, at Sudbury Regional Hospital with his family by his side. Ron had been a long - time resident of Pioneer Manor where he was well cared for. For this we are very grateful and appreciative. Ronald is survived by his cherished wife Claudette of Sudbury, daughter Mae Fex Harnum (Ian), three treasured grandchildren, Austin, Catherine, and Victoria - all of Kitchener. He will also be dearly missed by his brother Leo Fex (Ellen) of Barrie, Lillian Fex Thibaudeau (late Guy), Alex Fex (Erna), Denise Fex Bundy (Michael), Madeleine Fex Tinkis, all of Greater Sudbury, and sister Marie Claire Warren (David) of Penticton. He is predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Annette (Guimond) Fex, sister Lucille Delongchamp (Johnny) of Victoria, B.C., brother Norman Fex (Mernie) of Sudbury. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and numerous cousins. Family was very important to Ron. Ronald was a lifelong Sudburian having been born at home on Ontario St. and residing for a number of years in Estaire. He was a man of many talents. He loved communicating by ham radio with many people here and abroad and was engaged in this long before most other people. At various times, Ron worked as a mechanic, welder and repairing electronics. His wife fondly referred to him as a “grease monkey“. Arrangements by Lougheed Funeral Home, cremation at Park Lawn Crematorium. There will be a Memorial Mass at Our Lady of Hope at noon on Saturday, September 11 to celebrate the gift of Ronald""s life. The family will be at the church at 11:30 to greet you. Donations to the Sudbury Food Bank in Ronald""s name will be appreciated by the family.
