FINLAYSON Mary Margaret (nee Hodgins) - In Loving Memory of Mary Margaret Finlayson (nee Hodgins) Sunday, November 25th, 2012 at Finlandia Village, Sudbury. Beloved wife of Malcolm Finlayson predeceased 1997. Loving mother of Donald Finlayson (wife Dorothy predeceased) of Sudbury, Thomas Finlayson predeceased, Carol Passi predeceased (husband John of Mississauga), and Jean O’Gorman (husband Jim) of Mississauga. Cherished grandmother of Jim (Debbie), Jane Kulchin (Greg), Steve (Alicia), Neil (Ashlyn). Great grandmother of Matthew and Stephanie Kulchin. Dear daughter of William and Catherine Hodgins both predeceased. Dear sister of Leonard Hodgins (wife Mary) both predeceased, Gertrude Faught (husband John) both predeceased, Bernice Laberge (husband Peter) both predeceased, Frances Muraska (husband Bill) both predeceased, Bill Hodgins (wife Maureen) of Douglas, ON, Barbara Koritko of Sudbury (husband Joe predeceased), Joyce Huneault (husband Michel) both predeceased, Kay Weber (husband Ross) of Lively, Jack Hodgins (wife Marilyn) of Cobourg. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Born in Espanola, she married Malcolm in Copper Cliff in 1936. A longtime Copper Cliff resident, she was a devout Roman Catholic and an active member of St. Stanislaus Parish and CWL. A gifted pianist, Mary was the focal point of many family gatherings and parties. A woman who celebrated life, she was blessed with a great sense of humour. The focus of her life was always her family, for whom she leaves a legacy of love and many wonderful memories. The family would like to thank the staff at the Finlandia for the wonderful care of Mary. Resting at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch St., Sudbury. Funeral Mass in St. Stanislaus Church, Copper Cliff Thursday, November 29th, 2012 at 10am. Parish prayers 3pm Wednesday. Cremation with interment in the family plot at the Park Lawn Cemetery. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. (Friends may call 2-4; 7-9pm Wednesday).
