FORD, Cecile (nee Leblanc) - It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Cecile Ford, nee Leblanc, of Sudbury on Monday, April 23, 2012 at Health Sciences North following a lengthy battle against Cancer. Cecile was born in Lancaster, Ontario on December 25, 1933, to Levi and Antoinette Leblanc. Cecile will always be remembered as a spirited woman full of life, with her true passion being her family. She was a compassionate, caring, loving and giving soul. Her needs were always secondary to those of her family and friends. Cecile is survived by her ex- husband and dear friend, Eric (Red) Ford; her daughters Cheryl (husband Patrick Rimes), Jennifer (fiancé George Fournier) and her son Derrick. She was also the cherished “Nanny“ to Amber (Stephen Chum), Brittany and Mackenzie and “Great Nanny“ to Raina. Cecile is also survived by her dear sisters Rose Tyrell (husband Robert predeceased), and Doreen Adams (husband Bert Brandon). She is pre- deceased by her brother John Leblanc (wife Florence predeceased) and sister Annette Leblanc. Cecile will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and her special friends Madeleine and Frank Kramer. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, April 26th, 2012 at the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury, commencing at 11:30 am. with a Memorial Service to follow at 12:30 pm.
