FORTIN, Thomas “Gary“ - In loving memory of Thomas “Gary“ Fortin, 75 years, Saturday, November 5th, 2011 at the Health Sciences North. Beloved husband of Elizabeth “Beth“ (Goddard) Fortin of Sudbury. Loving father of Jack, Jim (Melonie), Tom, Louise (Sami), Peter and Joanne. Cherished grandfather of Lee-Ann, Ryan, Terri, Tommy, Yousef, Romi, Dani, Nairn, Alyssa and great grandchild Vicki. Dear son of William and Janet Fortin both predeceased. Dear brother of Bill, Larry, Jack (May), predeceased by Walter, Edmond, Tony, Maurice and Mary. Sadly missed by his cat “Mickey“. Born in Noranda, Quebec, he married Beth in Sudbury, in 1957, Gary worked at Bell Canada until 1973, he became an art teacher at Lockerby Composite School for 20 years, retiring in 1994. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church and the Friendship Lodge #691. He enjoyed building model airplanes, going to airshows, fishing at the cabin, travelling and spending time with family especially every Saturday “Spaghetti Night“. Funeral Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel, JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury, Wednesday, November 9th, 2011 11:30 AM. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Donations to the Diabetes Association or the SRHF Dialysis Unit. (Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM Tuesday or after 11:15 AM Wednesday.)
