GAIASHK, Alphonse - In loving memory of Alphonse Gaiashk 67 Years passed away on Saturday, March 30th, 2013 at the Manitoulin Health Centre, Little Current. Beloved father of Jamie Mishibinijima (Jamie Lynn), Jonathon Dokum (Norma Jean) as well as special son Timothy Cooper and foster daughter Surti Sartika. Cherished grandfather of Shakira, Janelle, Isaiah, Jesse James and Michael. Loving son of the late Daniel and Agnes (Kaboni) Gaiashk. Dear brother of Theacla Pheasant (Jerome predeceased) and predeceased by siblings Delphina Osawabine (Joseph), Derina Bebamashe (Gus), Georgina Gaiashk and Jim Gaiashk (Mary of Kaboni). Will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Alphonse worked most of his life with the Mississippi Barge Company and on his many return visits home he pursued another passion of his, logging. A very kind and generous man who gave of himself and was blessed with a great sense of humour. An avid outdoorsman who enjoyed sports, especially attending and participating in many horse pulling competitions. He was very proud of his yard and loved his prized flower gardens. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral Mass at St. Anthony Daniel Church, Kaboni on Thursday April 4th, 2013 at 2pm. Internment in the Kaboni Cemetery.
