GASCON, Regent “Reg“ - It is with great sorrow that the family announces his sudden death in Sudbury on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at the age of 68 years. Son of the late Raoul Sr. Gascon and Christina (née Souliere). Loving father of Leo (Ann), Carmen, Norman (Candice) and Rejean (Lisa). Cherished grandfather of Yvonne, Noah, Michael, Casey, Larry, Nicholas, Chelsea, Sasha, Micheal and Jessica. Dear brother of Anna Lachance (late Andre), Roger (Lizette), Fernand (Claudette), Jeanne d'Arc Briere (Maurice) and Steve all of Hanmer, Raoul Jr. (Jeanie), Rachelle Carriere (Norm), Carmen Lemieux (Don) all of Capreol. Predeceased by his brothers Hector (late Claudette), Claude (Anne), Roland/Rolly (Reg's twin) and by sisters Marie-Jeanne and Georgette Gascon. Missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Reg will be missed by special friends Rick, Tammy, Vivian and Michael, good buddy Fern, Dan, his godmother Gabrielle Landry and friend Tina. Reg enjoyed hunting, fishing, and blueberry picking. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a master gardener and enjoyed creating through his artistic abilities.The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 4570 St-Joseph Street, Hanmer, Wednesday from 2-5 and 7-9:30 p.m. and Thursday after 11 a.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday, May 31, 2012 at 2 p.m. in Our Lady of Peace Church, Capreol. Donations (by cheque only) to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
