GAYDOS, Joseph John - In Loving Memory of Joseph John Gaydos, 85 years, Monday, April 11th, 2011 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital. Beloved husband of 59 years to Jeannette Gaydos (nee Villeneuve). Loving father of George (Debra Farrell), Katrine (Gary Black), Margaret (David Durocher), Gerry and Stephan (Julia White). Cherished grandfather of Andrew and Emma, Matt and Nic, Tyler (C.J.) and Sara (Jason) and William and Amelia as well as great grandfather of Liam and Trinity. Predeceased by his father George Gaydos and his mother and stepfather Anna (nee Stefanick) and John Pollock. Dear brother to Mary Svab and predeceased by stepbrothers John and Jim Pollock. He will also be missed by his nephew Joseph Svab. Joseph is a World War II Veteran, active in the Legion Branch 503 and a faithful member of St. Bartholomew's Roman Catholic Church, Levack. He was a former member of the engineering department at Inco for 32 years, a fabulous cribbage and card player, golfer and a former snowbird to Arizona for over 20 years. Resting at the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, 252 Regent St., at Hazel St. Funeral Mass in St. Bartholomew's Church, 30 Church St., Levack, Thursday April 14th, 2011 at 11 AM. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday under the auspices of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #503 Onaping Falls. Interment at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Haileybury. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial donations to the Lung Association, Kidney Foundation or St. Bartholomew's Building Fund. (Friends may call from 2-5; 7-9 Wednesday).
