GIDEON, Mary Ann (nee McCrea) - In loving memory of Mary Ann (nee McCrea) Gideon, 86 years, Wednesday, January 18th, 2012 at Meadowbrook Retirement Village, Lively. Beloved wife of Robert “Bob“ Albert Gideon predeceased 2006. Loving mother of Roy (wife Cynthia), Robert Jr., James (wife Sharon), Bill (wife Sirpa), Stewart and Heather. Cherished grandmother to 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Dear sister of William McCrea. A longtime Lively resident, Mary had been a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br#546 Lively Ladies Auxiliary. A war bride, Mary married Robert Gideon in Scotland in 1944. She enjoyed knitting and bowling. In her younger days she was a keen camper. She will be remembered as a well liked and caring person who was devoted to her loving family. The family expresses their appreciation to Meadowbrook Retirement Village staff, CCAC staff and Bayshore staff for their excellent care and support of Mary. Funeral Service in the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, 252 Regent St. at Hazel St. Sunday, January 22, 2012 at 3 p.m. Interment in the family plot at the Waters Cemetery.
