GILLIS, Gordon Malcolm - The family announces with sorrow his passing in Sudbury on Thursday, January 24th, 2013 at the age of 82 years. Beloved husband of Patricia Gillis (née Chaput) of Sudbury. Son of the late Glen and the late Helen (née Tate) Gillis. Loving father of Karen Baker, Linda Grier, Joan Hotovcin, Peggie Basham, Gordon Jr. Gillis, Keith Gillis, David Gillis and step-father of Christal, Sherry, Amber and Ashley. Sadly missed by many grandchildren and many great- grandchildren. Lovingly remembered by his granddaughter Taylor, who is a leukemia survivor, and his grandson Jordan, who could always make him smile. Gordon served as a Police Chaplain in Chambersburg, Penn. (1985-1989), Cory, Penn. (1989-1993) and Latrobe, Penn. (1993-1997). He was a United States Veteran, having served in the Korean War. In keeping with Gordon's wishes, there will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 2nd, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury. Donations (by cheque only) to the Maison Vale Hospice would be appreciated.
