GILLIS, Rodger - It is with sadness that we announce the death of Rodger on March 31st, 2011 at his home in Winfield B.C. with his loving family by his side at the age of 72, after a long battle with lung disease. Born in Garson Jan. 1939. Predeceased by his parents Jack Gillis and Margaret Gillis. He is survived by his loving wife Maureen, daughters; Kimberley, Kelly-Ann (Kent), granddaughters Katrina and Kiarra, step- children Steve (Cindy), Laurie (Brad), Mike (Sandy), (Dave predeceased) and step- granddaughters Renee & Chantal, Meagan & Lauren & Cody. Sadly missed by brother John (Shirley) Rockwood, ON, sister Jean (Morris) Garson, ON. Uncle to Randy, Laurie, Blaine, Cheryl, Jackie. He also will be missed by many uncles, aunts and cousins. Rodger will be sadly missed by his canine buddies Moe & Leo whom was by his side constantly through his last months of life. Rodger enjoyed doing his woodworking crafts in his shop and selling his finished painted product along the highway in Winfield B.C. and campgrounds. He loved camping and travelling with his R.V. He worked last at Kelowna Wine's in Kelowna B.C. until his illness forced him to retire.
