GIROUX, Ronald Raymond - It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of Ronald Raymond Giroux on February 9, 2012 at the age of 58 years at the Health Sciences North, Sudbury. Beloved husband of Connie Giroux (née Constance Desbiens). Loving father of Derek (Sylvie Lelièvre), Eric (Melissa) and Denis (friend Carly Sylvain) all of Hanmer. Cherished grandfather of Caleb, Daniel and Stephane Giroux, step-grandfather to Eric and Renée Bisaillon and step-great- grandfather of Isabelle. Will be forever missed by his parents Raymond and Florence Giroux, his brothers Claude (Nicole), André (Lorraine) and Robert (Kim) all of Hanmer and his sister Eveline (Ian) McCallion of Petawawa. Loving brother-in- law of Tannis of Elliot Lake, Kim (Lorenzo Guité) of Capreol, Larry (Debbie) of Elliot Lake, Bonnie (Perry) of Alberta, Nicole (Daryl Hanlon) of Sudbury, Andy (Karen) of Saskatchewan, Laura (Gerry Derkacz) of Capreol and Gerry (Jeannine) Desbiens of Kirkland Lake. He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends. Predeceased by his in-laws Lawrence and Jean (née Hogan) Desbiens and his nephew Serge Giroux. In keeping with Ronald's wishes, the family has requested an informal dress during visitation time and service. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, Hanmer, Wednesday, February 15, 2012 from 10 a.m.-1p.m. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel.
