(November 24th, 1951 – March 17th, 2024)

Susan Glass, a cherished soul whose warmth and kindness touched the hearts of all who knew her, has peacefully passed away. She departed this world on March 17, 2024 suddenly, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and grace.

Susan was a woman of many passions, each one adding depth and richness to her life. Her love for her feline companions was profound, and her home was a sanctuary where her cats roamed freely, basking in her tender care and affection.

With soil-stained hands and a heart full of joy, Susan tended to her garden with unwavering dedication. The vibrant blooms and lush foliage that flourished under her care were a testament to her green thumb and her ability to nurture life in all its forms.

For many years, Susan dedicated herself to serving the City of Sudbury with unwavering diligence until her well-deserved retirement. Her commitment to her work was a reflection of her strong sense of duty and her desire to contribute positively to her community.

But perhaps, most precious to Susan were her cherished friendships. She held each one dear to her heart, nurturing these bonds with love, laughter, and unwavering support. Her home was a haven of warmth and hospitality, where the door was always open, and the kettle was forever on, welcoming friends old and new for a cup of tea and a slice of her famous homemade treats.

Susan took immense pride in creating a haven of comfort and joy within her home. Her shelves adorned with delicate china cups, each one a cherished memento of shared moments and cherished memories.

In the kitchen, Susan’s culinary talents shone brightly. She found joy in cooking and sharing meals with loved ones, her table always abundant with delicious dishes and her heart always open to anyone in need of nourishment, both physical and emotional.

Susan was preceded in death by her loving parents, Theresa and John, and her dear sister Liana. She is survived by her siblings, John, Joanne, and Peter (Sherry), along with her nieces and nephews, Christopher (Janey), Alisha, Michael (Jessica), Sarah (Marco), Hugh (Annita), Emilio (Elisha), Dominica and great-nephews and nieces all of whom she adored deeply.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no formal service, and Susan will be cremated.

In lieu of flowers, those who wish to honour Susan’s memory are encouraged to consider making a donation to Pet Save, an organization that was dear to her heart and a cause she passionately supported. A Celebration of Life will occur at a later date.

Though Susan may no longer walk among us, her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. May her memory be a blessing, and may we find comfort in knowing that she has found peace in the embrace of eternal love.
