GLEN, Albina - With great sadness Albina Glen's family announces her death at Cassellholme, North Bay on Friday March 5, 2010; at the age of 98 years. Albina was the proud and loving mother of Veronica McEachran (James) of North Bay, Edward Zelonis (Kathleen) of Sault Ste. Marie, Barbara O'Loughlin of Kingston and the late Carol Glen. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren James, Erin, Robert, Michael, David, Jesse, Rory and Alana, and her great grandchildren Amy, Shane, Mamiko and Daichi. Born Albina Valciaskaite, in Lithuania on May 1st, 1911. She immigrated to Canada in 1927, at the age of 16. She later met and married George Zelonis (deceased March, 1947 ) and later married Michael Glen in 1960 (deceased 1988). As well as her husbands and step daughter, she was also predeceased by several brothers and sisters in Lithuania. Albina was a long time resident of Creighton Mine, Ontario where she was affectionately known as the “Lady Barber”. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place.
