GODIN, Ruth - In loving memory of Ruth Godin (nee Hay), 69 years. Passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Villa on May 12th, 2011 with her loving family by her side. Beloved wife of Keith Godin. Loving mother of Margaret (friend Paul Beaulieu), Greg (wife Nicole), David (wife Angela), and son Tim. Cherished grandma to Richard, Jared, Ryan, and Alex. Loving daughter of the late William and Ethel Hay. Loving sister of John (predeceased), Mary Jane Powless (husband Joe), Robert (wife Aline), William (wife Barbara), Douglas (wife Diane), and David. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Born in Sudbury, Ontario November 6th, 1941. Ruth married Keith on September 2nd, 1962 at Knox Presbyterian Church, Sudbury. Ruth taught Sunday School at Knox for many years, and was an active member of the Ladies W.A. As a young girl Ruth was a member of the C.G.I. T. at All People's United Church, and became a leader of the group. Keith and Ruth owned and operated Ker Collectibles in the Montrose Mall for many years where many of their customers became close friends. Travelling to collectible shows all across North America (Ruth loved to travel). Ruth loved having friends and family over on those sunny summer days enjoying the pool and all the good things friends and family share whenever they get together. Ruth was also a member of Algoma Chapter No. 139 of the Eastern Star, and a past executive member of Shuniah Branch No. 228 of the Independent Order of Foresters. The family would like to thank the entire staff at St. Joseph's Villa for the care and compassion they afforded Ruth and the family the entire time that she was there. There will be a celebration of Ruth's life at Calvin Presbyterian Church, 1114 Auger Ave. Sudbury, Ontario on Thursday, June 2nd, 2011 at 1 p.m. Rev. Dan Reeves will be conducting the Service. Donations to the Shriners Hospital would be very much appreciated. Interment in the Sudbury Civic Cemetery in Minnow Lake. Arrangements entrusted to the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME.
