ROBERT EDWARD GOLDER April 2, 1956 - November 7, 2023

In loving memory of Robert (“Bob”, “the Bob”, “Santa Bob”, “Scary Uncle Bob”, “Big Bad Bobby”) Golder, at the age of 67 years. Dearly loved father of Nathan MacDonald and Jacob Golder (Elizabeth Mohns). Proud and loving grandpa of Alicia, Madison and Arthur. Predeceased by his parents Reginald and Verna. Dear brother of Debra Bertrand (Denis), Wayne Golder (Carol) and Linda Morgan (John). Sadly missed by his sons’ mother Stacey Villeneuve, and by his nieces and nephews Amanda, Julie, Derek, Elaine, Travis, Jeffrey, Richard, Kandice, and Kimberly, and predeceased by niece Stephanie.  Also missed by many great-nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Bob joined the Canadian Forces at a young age and spent time peacekeeping overseas. He was a career truck driver, most recently at Brown’s Concrete.  Bob loved Old Rock coffee, fine Scotch, cooking and baking, sailing, and spending time at his brother’s camp on Agnew Lake. No description of Bob would be complete without mentioning his luxuriant waxed moustache!

The family would like to thank the staff at Maison McCulloch Hospice for their compassionate care in Bob’s last days, and the staff at the Northeast Cancer Centre for their excellent care during his treatments.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Simple Wishes of the North, Sudbury with a celebration of life to follow at a later date.
