GORSKI, Jozef - In loving memory of Jozef Gorski 81 years Thursday, May 2, 2013, suddenly at his residence. Beloved husband of 59 happy years of Anna. Loving father of Ben (Cheryl), Zosia (Lorne), Marysia (Richard). Cherished dziadzia of Sara (Kevin), Daniel (Leeanne), Ryan (Angela), Kyle and Matthew. He was born December 22, 1931, in Bystra, Poland. He and his family immigrated to Canada in 1968. Jozef worked at Falconbridge in the smelter from 1968-1994 and enjoyed a happy retirement for 19 years. He was an active and proud member of the Polish community. He was a member of the St. Casimir?s Parish, member of the Polish Combatants Association Branch 24 and of the church youth camp. Jozef loved nature and was an avid gardener. He brought much joy and laughter to all through his great sense of humour. He will be sadly missed by his friends and extended family in Poland. Resting at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch St., Sudbury. (Friends may call 2-5; 7-9pm Sunday with parish prayers at 7:30pm Sunday.) Funeral Mass in St. Casimir?s Church 210 Paris St., Sudbury Monday, May 6th, 2013 at 10am. Interment in the Civic Memorial Cemetery. Donations to the St. Casimir?s Church or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
