Gérard dedicated his life to hard work and caring for others. He opened his home to teenagers; followed by seniors for many years and helped care for them. Gérard had a 32 year career at Falconbridge mines before he retired. He pursued his passion in the attempt to invent a Perpetual wheel; which was quite impressive. Gérard was also very musically inclined with a love for his violin and banjo. Playing pool was also a great joy. With anything that was challenging he would attempt and find a way to persevere. He stood tall in his family, proving to be a source of strength, compassion, love and joy. His courage and attitude has been inspiring to us all.
