GRIMALDI, Frank - It is with extreme sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Frank Grimaldi on March 18th, 2011 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital. Son of the late Gennaro and Adelina (Porco) Grimaldi of Italy. Beloved husband of Dora (Camilucci). Devoted father and mentor to Linda Conrad (husband Ron) of Kirkland Lake and Sandra Miscio (husband Tony) of Sudbury. Cherished Nonno of Braden and Camrin Conrad and Matthew and Katie Miscio. Dear brother of Barbara Montagnini (Frank predeceased), Michele, both of Italy and Fausto (predeceased). Dear brother in law of Laura Diniro (Guido predeceased), Norma Morin (Gerry predeceased) of Sudbury, Gord Camilucci (Judy) of Niagara Falls, Jack Camilucci (Pat) and Arlene Sukey (Jim) of Sudbury. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins. He will also be missed by his many wonderful friends who he considered family. Born in Piane Crate, Italy, Frank came to Canada at a young age to make a life for himself and that he did. He was first a barber, then changed career paths and became District Manager for McGuiness Distillers and Corby Distillers retiring in 1996. Born with the “gift of gab”, Frank easily made friends wherever he went. He enjoyed golfing, gardening, cooking and working out with his buddies at the YMCA. He lived for his grandkids and enjoyed watching them play sports and being in their presence. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, patience and devotion. “Our family chain is breaking, Nothing will seem the same. In life, we loved you dearly. In death, we will do the same.” Funeral prayers in the R. J. Barnard Chapel, Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch St., Sudbury, on Wednesday, March 23, 2011. at 11:30 A.M. Cremation at Park Lawn Crematorium. Donations to the SRH 4th Floor Palliative Care Unit or the to the Parkinson’s Society would be appreciated.
