Laurier Groulx (a.k.a) Junior July 12 2023 (75 )
It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Laurier Groulx at Health Science North surrounded by his loving family at the age of 75 years after a long and courageous battle with heart disease and diabetes.
He leaves behind his loving wife and best friend Aurore (Deguire)of 54 years. An amazing father of 3 children, Nicole(friend Pierre Michion),Leo-Paul( friend Chantal),and Daniel whom he loved dearly. He was an incredible grandfather to 6 children. Stephanie(Paul Desjardins), Melanie(Darryl Forhan), Jessica(Andre Mainville). Patrick Laberge(Amanda), Bella)Tony Reyes) and Sebastien Groulx. He was a Great Grandfather to 8 children. Amilia,Philip,Auri,Gabrielle,Melodie,Alex,Meteo and Landon. Son of Omer and Valerie(Pilon) both predeceased. Brother of Cecile Secord(Gerard), John(Shirley), Gerard(predeceased) (Rollande) and Sylvia(predeceased).
Laurier worked at Falconbridge for 30 years before retiring. He leaves behind a legacy of Love,friendship and kindness that be in our hearts forever. He loved dressing up as Santa for Christmas and handing out presents. He was a sweet man.He had music in his soul...taking up the guitar and many other instruments from when he was young.The sound he made will echo in our hearts forever. He loved playing cards, telling jokes and making people laugh.
As per his requests there will be no visitation however a service mass will be held July 22nd at 11am at Saint Jacque Church at 46 Cote Blvd. in Hanmer.
