GUY, Laurette (née Gauthier) - Passed away peacefully April 27, 2012 at the age 79. Cherished daughter of the late Octave Gauthier and the late Rosa (nee Mathias) Gauthier. Predeceased by her loving husband Leon Guy in 2006. Loving mother of Madeleine Kramer (Frank), Pauline Briscoe (Allan), Lise Plante (Denis) all of Sudbury and Gerard (Zoe Brooks) of Worthington. Dear sister of Marie Rose Prevost (late Euclide) and Marcel (Estelle) both of Sudbury, Bernadette Pomerleau (Wildred) of Wahnapitae, André (Audrey) of West Tree, Emily Dakin and Georges both of Little Current. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters Lionel (Suzy), Emile (late Tony), Beatrice Leclair (late Delphis) and Albert (late Dora). Survived by her brothers and sisters in law Hector Contois (Aline) and Jean-Paul Guy (Lucille) of Sudbury. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Carole, Natalie, Joey, Micheal, Darryl, Brian, Kevin, Eric, Melanie, Jared and her great grandchildren Kyle, Kendra, Kaylee, Brooke, Brandt, Danica, Jessica, Lexi and many nieces and nephews. Laurette had a passion for camping, fishing and boating. She was involved with the church and was at her happiest when she was surrounded by her family who will miss her good cooking. Laurette worked as a food supervisor at the Extendicare Falconbridge. She also volunteered her time with Children's Aid Society for a period of time. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd. East, Sudbury, Thursday, May 3, 2012 from 2- 5p.m. Funeral service will be held on Thursday at 5 p.m. in the chapel. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations (by cheque only) to the Alzheimer's Society or the Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.
