HAMEL, Laurette (nee Roy) - In Loving Memory of Laurette (nee Roy) Hamel 88 years. Peacefully Thursday, February 17th, 2011 at the Pioneer Manor. Beloved wife of Albert Hamel predeceased 1996. Loving mother of Joanne predeceased, Maurice predeceased 2004 (wife Huguette), Normand (wife Gilberte), Donald, Jean-Paul (wife Mary), Aurel (friend Lina), Diane (husband Rob Hamilton). Cherished Memere of Joanne, Michel, Robert, Lynne, Susie, Marc, Laurie, Nancy, Lee, Chantelle, Raymond Jr., Joey predeceased, and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Dear Daughter of Joseph and Clara (Tetrault) Roy predeceased. Dear sister of Rita Mathieu and predeceased by Cecile Dupuis, Aurel and Leon Roy. Dear stepsister of Jean-Paul George, Laurier, Gilles, Pauline and the late Roger predeceased. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Born in Hagar, moving to Sudbury as a teenager Laurette married Albert Hamel in Warren in 1940. A woman of faith she attended Berean Baptist Church where she actively participated in the church’s fellowship and ministry. The focus of her life was her loving family and she was happiest when in their company. Resting at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch St. Sudbury. Funeral Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel Tuesday, February 22th, 2011 at 10 AM. Cremation with interment in the family plot at The St. Charles Cemetery.
