Elsie was a loving and caring person. She was strong and courageous as she fought her battle with cancer. The cancer showed it’s cruelness each day. Elsie died at her home on June 4, 2022 at the age if 92. Elsie married Mykola (predeceased) in 1950. Elsie had six children, Sina, Tommy(wife Sandra)’ Donna( husband Miki Gray), Steven( wife Susan)and twins Billy, Nicky (predeceased, wife Carla) Elsie had 12 grandchildren. They brought happiness to her heart: April, Crystal, James ( Jim) , Amanda, Jesse, David, Jeffrey, Shane, Sarah, Adrianna, Mykola (Nick) and Ryan. They went on and blessed her with many great grandchildren. She always was happy to bring out the tea for visitors. In her heart she cherished her brother Nicky (Nick) Pawluk. Elsie always called him Nicky. Nick’s wife Irene was very concerned for Elsie and offered help anyway she could. There is a memory Donna had of Mom washing dishes, looking out the window singing Que Sera Sera whatever will be will be. Elsie’s apple pies made everybody’s taste buds dance, Elsie enjoyed making cherry cheese cakes for an event her granddaughter needed to bring to any event she needed to bring something delicious to. Elsie was always pleased when she answered the phone and her friend Beatrice was calling. They would have nice conversations. Bruno the beagle decided to take on the role of body guard and the nurses and PSW,s did their best not to step on him; because no matter what Bruno was going to supervise Elsie’s care.

Shawnee and Jesse the neighbours children called her grandma and gave her lovely Christmas gifts, They now have children of their own. Elsie treasured their gifts, and most of all being called grandma.

A heartfelt and grateful Thank you to all you amazing nurse’s, Doctor’s, PSW,s (Pam)who did their best for Elsie. She will be missed and fondly remembered by all who met her. A special Lady Elsie will always be.
