HAYTER, Orville Edgar (Red) - In loving memory of Orville Edgar “Red“ Hayter, 84 years, who passed away October 2nd, 2010 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital. Beloved husband of Thelma Lilian Hayter. Loving father of Susan Somers (Harold), Sharon Mercier (Dennis), Bruce (Lysa Pominville), Sandra Lafleur (Neil), Sylvia Mann (Randy), Stephanie Morrison (Ken), Shawna Houser (Kevin) and Tim. Cherished grandfather of 21 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Dear son of Rev. Joseph and Elva (Moore) Hayter predeceased. Dear brother of Ruth Grimmer (Herbert), Lucille McCabe (Ernest), Lois Allan (Austin), James Hayter and Winnifred Stephenson (Melville) all predeceased. Dear uncle of Addison McCabe (Helen). He joined the Canadian Air Force and then the Army during WWII. Orville graduated from the Prince of Wales College in Charlottetown, P.E.I. in 1948 and then worked for the government. He moved to Sudbury and worked as a Chemist at INCO for many years. His family will miss the great stories about his beloved Prince Edward Island and his very generous disposition. In lieu of flowers donations to World Vision would be appreciated. Memorial Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel JACKSON & BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury, Thursday, October 7th, 2010, at 2:30pm.
