HEWS, Marjorie E 'Biddie' - Biddie Hews (nee Light) passed away peacefully on Friday, April 29, 2011 at the John M. Parrott Centre in Napanee from Alzheimer's Disease. She received exemplary care from all the loving and dedicated staff in the home. During WW II, Biddie taught 3 grades in a one room school house and then served in the Canadian Women's Army Corps. Biddie and Charlie raised 4 children, living in many mining communities in Northern Ontario and Manitoba, settling in Kingston for their retirement years. With family and friends, Biddie enjoyed many sports and outdoor activities and was an avid and accomplished curler. Biddie greatly supported and assisted Charlie in his career and professional life, while providing a flourishing home environment. She was admired and well loved by all who knew her for her kindness, generosity and her lively spirit. Beloved wife of Charlie (predeceased) for 60 years. Loving mother of David Hews (Dora) of Brampton, Peggy Crowther (Patrick) of Toronto, Bill Hews (Mary Ann) of Calgary, and Susan Bush (Tim) of Vancouver. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Michael (Lisa), Chris, Robert (Harumi), Kevin, Julia (Marc), JoAnna, Alex, Matthew, Jonathan, Thomas, James and great grandchildren, Kevin, Miranda and Olivia Ann. Resting at the JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME (1900 John Counter Blvd.) Kingston. The family will receive friends on Tuesday between the hours of 2:00 - 5:00 pm. Funeral service in the chapel, on Wednesday, May 4, at 11:00 am. Interment Cataraqui Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the John M.
