HINZ, Hildegard Erna (nee Rudat) - In loving memory Of Hildegard Erna Hinz (nee Rudat), only child of Meta Rudat (nee Neumann) predeceased. Hilda was born and raised on a little farm by Tilsit/Memelland (East Prussia). As a young widow Hilda was working, during the war, as a nurse's assistant. Circumstances brought her to Lueneburg (Germany) in 1945. In 1947 she came to Celle and continued her nursing. Hilda loved her work. In 1952 Hilda married Gunter Hinz, a couple years later they immigrated to Canada, to build a new life. Hilda enjoyed being a homemaker and took great pride in everything she did. Hilda and Gunter had no children. She loved nature and enjoyed picking blueberries. Her fondest memories go back to Florida. Hilda and Gunter were one of Canada's Snow Birds for many years. She loved her home in Sudbury, where she felt comfortable, surrounded by precious memories of her life. After being in the hospital for 9 and a half weeks, Hilda fell into a deep sleep on November 5th, 2011 at 5:45 pm at the Health Science North, Sudbury. A special thank you to all the staff on the 8th floor, North Tower, who gave her the best care anyone could ask for. Beloved wife of Gunter “Carlo“ Hinz (predeceased 2006). Dear sister-in-law of Karl Hinz (Waltraud predeceased). Special aunt to Hilde Nichols (husband David) and family of Sudbury, Klaus (wife Monika) of Celle/Han Germany, and Uwe (predeceased 2005). Dearest friend of Mrs. Paxy, Wanda Laszutko both of Sudbury and Marge Campbell of Copper Cliff. As Hilda's request there will be no visitation or service. Cremation at Park Lawn Crematorium. Inurnment in the Park Lawn Mausoleum beside her husband. Donations to the Heart and Stoke would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, 252 Regent Street, Sudbury, Ontario.
