Irvin Kenneth Hould

First contract: October 21, 1950

Last contract: April 16, 2024

Age: 73

Known to the Government as Irvin Kenneth Hould, to many others as just “Houlio”, to some as Ken and KIJH to his loving wife it is with great sadness that we announce that on April 16, 2024, Ken said F*ck It one last time while surrounded by the love of his family and left us.

Son to Irvin and Leona (nee Peters) Hould (both predeceased), son-in-law to Marion, Clyde (both predeceased) and Al.

Beloved husband to Linda, father to Richard (Tammy) and Papa to Parker (Maddie). Brother-in-law of Tony (Stephanie), Deborah (Phil) and Richard (Liz). Uncle to Melanie, Angela, Jerica (Glen), Jacob (Stephanie), Samantha (Kyle), Christopher (Victoria) and Cory (Bailey). He is also survived by his two children from a previous marriage Jason (Keri-Anne), Stacey (Jason) and their children.

Ken opted to start his career with the City of Sudbury instead of going to Woodstock in 1969 and worked until his early retirement at the age of 55. After retiring Ken worked for Garson Pipe, Aecom and Enterprise as the other half of the Kenny Rogers Team.

Ken enjoyed the use of one particular four letter word often using it as a noun, verb and adjective in the same sentence, Jack Daniels, spending time with his eight great-nephews and his six great-nieces and Buffalo Bills Tailgating with his son Richard.

Ken also held a master’s in physics, although he never knew it. Ken regularly challenged Einstein’s Theory of Relativity that Time is Relative. If you ever had to wait on Ken, you quickly learned that his twenty minutes was different than that of his family’s conventional societies, or any of the top brand of Watchmakers…his twenty minutes always moved slower than everybody else’s.

Ken and Linda would also like to thank Parker’s mom, Charlene, for allowing them to spend all that special time with Parker, which would sometimes be weeks at a time as the three of them travelled together.

The family would also like to thank Jennifer from Bayshore for her care and compassion.

Following Ken’s wishes there will be no service. In lieu of a service, donations to the Elgin Street Mission and the Blue Door Café Soup Kitchen would be appreciated.

As Always and Forever, Honestly In a Nutshell.
