HOULD, Irvin J. - In Loving Memory of Irvin J. Hould 88 years Wednesday evening, January 2nd, 2013 at Extendicare York St. Sudbury. Loving husband of Leona (nee Peters) Hould predeceased March 6th, 2003. Beloved father of Ken (wife Linda) of Sudbury. Proud grandfather of Jason (Charlene) of Hanmer, Stacey of Sudbury and Richard of Barrie and great grandchildren Jaya and Parker. Predeceased by his parents Marcel and Elmire (nee Potvin) Hould. Dear brother of Evelyn Gowing (husband Elwyn deceased) of New Brunswick and predeceased by his sisters Hildreth Kerr and Edna Cooke. Irvin was born and raised in Sudbury. He married Leona in Sudbury in 1948. A member of the Roman Catholic faith, he worked 10 years as foreman at the Eatons warehouse and then for the City of Sudbury as a parking lot attendant retiring in 1989. A World War Two Veteran he served overseas in the Italian campaign. Every Monday, he enjoyed taking his sisters grocery shopping and took the opportunity to buy groceries which he would then deliver to the Genevra house. During the summer, his favorite pastime was taking his grandchildren on vacations to Niagara Falls. He loved animals, especially his dogs Spot and Lucky. Irvin will always be remembered as generous and giving and always willing to lend a helping hand. He loved taking care of his sisters and was very proud of all his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed and never forgotten. Funeral Prayers in the R.J. Barnard Chapel JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME 233 Larch St. Sudbury Saturday, January 5th, 2013 at 11:00 am. Interment in Sudbury Roman Catholic Cemetery. Donations in memory of Irvin to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
