HUMPHREY, Norma (nee Caicco) - In loving memory of Norma Humphrey, aged 73 years, who passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at the Maison Vale Hospice after a brief battle with cancer. Beloved wife of Barry Humphrey for 42 years and daughter of the late Eugene and Emilia Caicco of North Bay. Devoted mother of Lisa Emons (Jeremy) of Orillia, and proud Nonna of twin grandchildren Rebecca and Zachary. Norma is survived by her brothers John (Yolanda) of Toronto and Robert of Sault Ste. Marie, and her sisters Anita Caicco of Barrie, Sister Shirley Caicco of the Sisters of St. Joseph of North Bay, Gerry Shannon (Terry) of Sudbury, Ann Ryan (Terry deceased) of Markham, Noreen McKinnon (Al) of Wasaga Beach and Jeannie Spina (Ron) of Sudbury. Predeceased by two sisters, Ada Bawks (Bill deceased) and Patricia Murdoch (Doug). Norma will be greatly missed by many loving nieces and nephews. Norma was employed by Bell Canada for many years in North Bay, Toronto and Sudbury. She was active in her faith and very involved in parish activities, including the St. Andrew the Apostle Choir and the Catholic Women's League for many years. She enjoyed her weekly lunches with friends from the parish, as well as her monthly lunches with her fellow Bell Canada retirees. Norma will be remembered for her gracious hospitality and caring nature. She loved to prepare meals for family gatherings and was dedicated to keeping in touch with family and friends. Her compassion and words of wisdom were inspiration to all that knew her. The family would like to thank those who provided Norma with excellent care during her recent illness, both in the palliative unit at Health Sciences North and at Maison Vale Hospice. The family will be greeting friends at the JACKSON and BARNARD FUNERAL HOME 233 Larch Street, Sudbury on Friday, April 13th, 2012 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass at St. Andrew the Apostle Church 1250 Barrydowne Road on Saturday, April 14th at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Civic Cemetery. Prayers at 3p.m. Friday. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Maison Vale Hospice in Sudbury.
