In Loving Memory of Annastasia “Anna” (Chapeski) Ilnitski 24 November 1921- 20 May 2010 It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of our Mother, Anna Ilnitski at the age of 88 on Thursday 20 May 2010 at Falconbridge Extended Care Facility. She is predeceased by her husband Joseph Ilnitski, her 4 sisters and 6 brothers. Anna is survived by her son Kenneth (Kay) of Nova Scotia; son James (Shirley) of Sudbury; daughter Barbara (Brian) Scagnetti of Sudbury; daughter Darlene LeRoux of B.C.; son Dennis (Colette) of Sudbury; daughter Mary Kemp (Richard) of B.C. Anna was grandmother of 11 and great grandmother of 13. She was also close to her niece Diane (Lloyd) Denault of Elliot Lake. Anna enjoyed cooking and many great meals were shared at her table by family and friends. She had countless, humorous stories of growing up on the family farm and had a special love of flowers, birds, dogs and cats. She also enjoyed doing needlepoint and puzzles in her spare time. Anna supported the war effort at Petawawa during her younger years. She also supported organizations such as Mine Mill Ladies Auxiliary, Navy League of Canada, Fed & Provincial PC parties, past member of Holy Trinity Parish and Christ the King Parish. She was strong in spirit and was a cancer survivor. Our heartfelt thanks to the 2nd floor staff of Falconbridge Extended Care for their excellent and compassionate care. Special thanks to Lori, Ann Marie, Lisette, Denise, Joanna and Renee. Also, thank you to the War Pensioners and Veterans Affairs Canada for their support over the past few years.



  A Celebration of Anna’s Life and service will be held at Lougheed Funeral Home, 252 Regent Street, Sudbury, Ontario on Tuesday, May 25th, 2010 at 11:30 a.m.(Friends may call after 10:30 a.m. Tuesday) Cremation with interment will take place at Civic Cemetery. Donations in lieu of flowers made to SPCA, Alzheimer’s Society or a Charity of your Choice will be greatly appreciated.
