JACKSON, Violet Eliza (nee McAffee) - In loving memory of Violet Eliza Jackson (Nee McAffee), 87 years, who passed away Friday morning, August 6th, 2010 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital. Beloved wife of Joseph Jackson predeceased 1985. Loving mother of Viola St. Denis, Hilda Wasberg (husband Donald) and Wm Warren “Bill“ Jackson (wife Diane). Cherished grandmother of 10 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Dear daughter of Henry “Mac“ and Jane (Milford) McAffee predeceased. Dear sister of Alice Bain, Jean Lalonde, Genevieve Nettleship and Norman McAffee predeceased. Sadly missed by nieces and nephews. Born in Aylwin, Quebec she came to Markstay at age 2. Violet helped her husband on their farm in Markstay for many years. Her green thumb produced beautiful flowers and bountiful vegetables. A caring person she had been a foster mother for the CAS 1960 to 1972. Violet was a women of great faith and a dedicated member of Markstay Union Church. She will be remembered a good shepherd and Samaritan to all she met living the lessons taught by Jesus on a daily basis. Violet can echo the words of St. Paul when he wrote “I have fought the good fight, I have finished my course I have kept the faith.“ Resting at the JACKSON & BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury. Funeral Service in the Markstay Union Church Wednesday, August 11th, 2010 at 11:00 am. Interment in the family plot at the Pinehill Cemetery, Markstay, On. Donations to the Markstay Union Church or the Gideon Bibles would be appreciated. (Friends may call 2 - 4; 7 - 9 pm Tuesday Only).
