KELLY, Charles - passed away in his 90th year at the Espanola General Hospital on Tuesday, July 3rd, 2012. Predeceased by his partner of sixty-one years Frances Grace in 2010. He was a lifelong resident of Espanola and was able to live in his home until the very end. After a long career at the mill; finishing as foreman in the finishing room: he enjoyed gardening and woodworking in his retirement years. He generously shared his garden harvest and numerous woodworking projects with family, neighbours and friends. He served in the Royal Canadian Armoured Corp with the 4th Princess Louise Dragoon Guards from 1942 – 46 and saw service in England, Italy and Holland. He volunteered to join the Pacific campaign bit while on leave the end of the war declared. He was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion for fifty-five years. Many thanks to all the angels that cared for our father and our family over the last several years. We are extremely grateful to the many organizations and individuals, who truly made a difference.
