KENNEDY, M. George

In Loving Memory of George Martin Kennedy 1938 – 2016 Who passed away at Health Sciences North surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, May 15th, 2016 at the age of 77 years. Predeceased by his wife Sylvia (Cybulski) (2004). George leaves behind his fiancée and best friend Judy Cardinal. Cherished father to Marty (Susan), Brian (Lauri), Craig (Mary) and Darryl (Gina) all of Sudbury. Beloved grandfather of Jordon (Tally), Jessica, Kevin (Stacey), Allison, Anna-Marie (Chris) and Andrew. George leaves behind several great grandchildren also. Dear son of Robert and Clara Kennedy both predeceased. George was the youngest of eight siblings, all predeceased. He leaves behind sisters-in-law; Winnie, Sheila, Grace, Mary-Jane (Murray), Susan (Richard) and brother-in-law Roger. He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and special friends. George worked as an electrician with INCO for 37 years. George loved sports and had a passion for the Blue Jays. He never missed a game and would either cheer or curse depending on how they were doing. Judy will miss her daily walks with George at the New Sudbury Shopping Center. The family would like to extend their thanks and gratitude to the 5th Floor South Tower doctors and nursing staff. Funeral Visitation at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch Street, Sudbury Wednesday, May 18th, 2016 2-5; 7-9 P.M. Interment in the family plot at the Civic Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Canadian Cancer Society.
