KING, Nora Evelyn (nee Shawbonquit) - In Loving Memory of Nora Evelyn King (nee Shawbonquit) Friday morning, August 17th. 2012 at the Extendicare York, Sudbury. Beloved daughter of James and Mary (Martin) Shawbonquit predeceased. Loving mother of Kenneth King predeceased. Predeceased by brothers and sisters. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Born in Whitefish Lake First Nation, Nora had taught Indian arts and crafts and language at Our Lady of Fatima School. She was a honourary member of the Walden Sr. Citizens Group. Recently Nora had celebrated her 100th birthday with a community celebration where over 100 family and friends gathered. The light of her life will be cherished by all who knew and loved her. Resting at the JACKSON & BARNARD FUNERAL HOME 233 Larch St., Sudbury. (Friends may call 2-9 p.m. Sunday). Funeral Mass in St. Christopher's Church, Whitefish Monday, August 20th, 2012 at 10 a.m. Interment in the Whitefish Catholic Cemetery.
