KNIGHT, Barbara May (Becket) (nee Price) - In Loving Memory of Barbara May (Becket) Knight (nee Price). It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Thursday, May 5th, 2011 peacefully at her residence. Predeceased by her former husband William (Bill) Becket. Parents Henry and Alice (Broad) Price predeceased. Predeceased by her sister Mona Smith (John), and grand son in law Tim Retty (Carey-Ann). Will be sadly missed but not forgotten by her husband Geoffrey Knight of Lively. Dear sister of Pamela Wright (Guy) England and Roy Price of England. Loving mother of Roy (Tracy) Winnipeg, Bob (Jo-Anne Landry) Sudbury and Jim of Dartmouth. Cherished grandmother of Carey-Ann, Jason, Chris, Morganne, Nicole, Bradley and great grandmother to Alyssa, Brianna and Chase. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Barbara was born January 7th, 1926 in Bristol, England. She served as a WREN in WW11. Coming to Canada as a war bride in 1945 where she settled raising a family. Barbara enjoyed her career as an RNA in the maternity ward at the Memorial Hospital. She spent many years participating circle 8 square dancing, had a passion for curling as a member of the war bride association. Retiring to winter in Florida, meeting new friends and partaking in the many club event the park offered. Memorial Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel JACKSON & BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St. Sudbury MONDAY, May 9th, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. Cremation with interment in the family plot at Parklawn Cemetery. Donations to the Alzheimer Society or Canadian Lung Association would be appreciated. (Friends may gather in the Chapel after 10:15 A.M. MONDAY).
