In Loving Memory of Mauno Kohtakangas 80 years, Who passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at the Maison Vale INCO Hospice, Sudbury. Beloved husband of Inkeri Kohtakangas (nee Heikkila). Dear father of Simo of Calgary, Alberta, and Eric (wife Joanne) of Lively. Cherished Papa of Adam (Misty), Isaac (Dawn),Elizabeth (Tex), Erica and Joshua. Special Great Grandpapa of Gabriella. Brother of Pentti, Eero, Tauno, Maija, Terttu all of Finland and Raili of Sweden. Mauno came to Canada from Finland in 1952 he then returned to Finland to marry his wife Inkeri, they then returned to Canada together in 1953. He worked at Falconbridge for 33 years retiring in 1989. Mauno loved spending time at his camp on Onaping Lake, where he enjoyed much of his time hunting and fishing. He will be remembered as a skilled Carpenter and one who helped many in his community. Funeral Service will be held in the Lougheed Funeral Home, 252 Regent St., Sudbury. On Saturday May 15, 2010 at 11am.
Interment in the Maplecrest Cemetery Dowling. Donations to the Maison Vale INCO Hospice or the St. Matthew’s Finnish Lutheran Church memorial Fund would be greatly appreciated. (Friends may call from 6 to 9 pm Friday or after 10am Saturday)
