KOLAR, Bozo M. “Bob“ - In loving memory of Bozo M. “Bob“ Kolar 88 years Peacefully Saturday, May 18th, 2013 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Agnes (Rubic) Kolar. Loving father of Dianne (husband Luciano Pen), Martin (wife Shirley) and Jimmy (wife Trina). Cherished grandfather of Elisa (Speros), Eric (Cora), Vanessa (Klay), Katie-Jo, Beckie-Ann, Mila and great grandchildren Domenic and Ella. Dear son of Nikolas and Franjka (Uremovic) Kolar predeceased. Also predeceased by his brother and sister. Sadly missed by family in Canada, Croatia, the United States and Australia. Bob left Croatia after the Second World War, and after time spent in Europe, landed in Canada in 1948. He worked for CP Rail in Manitoba and lumber camps throughout Northern Ontario before arriving in Sudbury. Bob worked for INCO for 29 years, with the majority of those years spent in the Sinter Plant. Bob became ill with Lung Cancer in 1974, but was able to fight the battle and beat the disease. Bob was very proud of his Croatian Heritage, his new country Canada, and especially his Canadian Citizenship. His motto was “We have to work hard to build the country.“ He was very proud to have provided for his children and his family. His bright smile, laughter, kindness and generosity will never be forgotten. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. McMullen, Dr. Krawczuk, the Nurses and Personal Support Workers who cared for him over the past several months, with special thanks to his new friends Helen and Linda. At his request there will be a Private Family Prayer Service at the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, 252 Regent St. at Hazel St., Sudbury, Tuesday, May 21st, 2013. Cremation with entombment at the Civic Memorial Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Sam Bruno PET Scanner Fund or the Maison Vale Hospice would be appreciated.
