KONAREK, Dr. Joseph Konarek - In loving memory of Dr. Joseph Konarek 82 years Wednesday, May 18th, 2011 at the Extendicare York. Beloved husband of Stella (Lomas) Konarek of Sudbury. Loving father of David (Gayle), Paul (April), Peter (Laurie) and Richard Marshall (Leigh). Cherished grandfather of Evan, Logan, Jason, Alyssa, Nathan and Sean. Joseph was a well respected Professor of Geography at Laurentian University, serving 32 years, retiring in 1996. He leaves a wonderful teaching legacy for many of his students. Joseph is a past board member of the Children's Aid, in his free time he loved to travel. Memorial Service at St. Peter's United Church 203 York St., Sudbury Tuesday, May 24th, 2011 at 11:30 AM. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
