Carol Kostyshen, 81, of Sudbury, Ontario passed away peacefully on February 11th 2024 at Health Sciences North, surrounded by loved ones. Born on December 5th, 1942 to Calvin and Regina Smith (Timmins, Ontario).
Beloved widow of Stephen Kostyshen, mother of Twila (Darren) and Steven (Janice). Survived by: Sandra, Gary, Jimmy, and David. Carol was preceded in death by: Marlyn, Faye, Marie, Phyllis, Linda, and Elwood.
Carol worked as a Laundry Aid for the Holiday Inn. She was an avid book reader and true crime enthusiast. Carol enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with her grandchildren Dawnmarie, Sarah, Aaron, Heather, Alex and Jack. Carol enjoyed visiting with her great grandchildren. Family get togethers were one of her favourite activities.
There will be a burial for Carol on July 6th, 2024 at 12 pm at the Parklawn Cemetery for those who would like to attend. A celebration of life will be held at the Westmount Community Centre on July 7th, 2024 at 2pm.
