In loving memory of Jim Kritz who passed away on Wednesday, July 7th, 2021, Lake Wahnapitae. Devoted husband of Loretta (née O’Neil). Loving father of Toni (Keith Roque), Blaine (Trish Rodgers), Candace, Michael predeceased and Matthew (Jessica). Cherished grandfather of Violet, Owen, James, Colton, Jacob, Lila, Leah, Noah and Grace. Treasured brother of Diane Macartney. Beloved son of Tony and Violet Kritz both predeceased. Dear son-in-law of Jack and Lauretta O’Neil both predeceased and brother-in-law of Joyce and Don Hilton, Peggy predeceased, Jim Noble and Jim O’Neil (Shirley). Jim resided in Skead for most of his life and claimed that the story of his life could be told on the waters of Lake Wahnapitae. He placed the greatest value on family, love, laughter and an honest day’s hard work. He worked at and operated Tony’s Marina for over 60 years. He was a legendary fisherman, a great storyteller, a talented poet, an avid outdoorsman and a strong advocate of all things nature. He was strong willed but tender hearted. He will be sadly missed but never forgotten. You’ve still got it Papa! Go easy. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Wildlife Federation, the Kidney Foundation or the Skead Community Centre Funeral Fund. A celebration of Jim’s life will be held at Tony’s Marina, 62 Marine Landing, Skead on Monday, July 12th, 2021 from 3-7pm adhering to COVID attendance directives.
