LAAMANEN, Norma - The family announces with sorrow her death in Val Caron, Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at the age of 57 years. Daughter of the late Elias and of the late Anna-Liisa (née Jokihalme) Laamanen. Loving sister of Marja Bast (Don) of St-Charles. Predeceased by her brother Risto Laamanen. Sadly missed by her nieces and nephews, Melissa, Karli, Kristopher (Anna), Sara, Ben (Stephanie), Caroleen, Star and many friends. For many years Norma was actively involved with her parents in the Finnish Pentecostal Church, mostly enjoying the music. She has lived at the Elizabeth Centre for the last five years, receiving loving care and friendship from the staff, residents and volunteers. Norma was warm and outgoing which touched the hearts of many. She will be missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd. E. (at Notre-Dame), Friday April 29, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel, Sudbury.
